Honors Initiative for Prospective Students (HIPS)

The Honors Initiative for Prospective Students (HIPS) is a student-run program designed to show prospective students the challenging, engaging and personalized environment offered by the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut.  Through “Meet & Greet” programs with Honors staff, students, and faculty, as well as individualized day visits in the spring, the HIPS program provides students with first-hand accounts about the benefits and opportunities available through the Honors Program.  Current student volunteers who participate in this program will enhance their leadership skills as well as have the opportunity to work with Honors in the admissions and recruitment process.
