Students currently enrolled at the University of Connecticut and looking for ways to enhance their undergraduate education may apply for admission to the Honors Program. Continuing students with a total grade point average (TGPA) of at least a 3.4 (3.2 for students following the 2007-2008 Undergraduate Catalog or earlier) and at least two semesters on campus are eligible to apply for admission. The student's academic record at the University, application essays, faculty evaluation, and interest in participating in Honors-level work are among the criteria considered during the process. - Sophomore Admissions
Current UConn students may apply to join the Honors Program after two semesters at the University. Students who enter the Honors Scholar Program during their second year of study may enroll in special Honors courses. Admission is based on the student’s academic record at UConn as well as the availability of space in the Program. Continuing students must have a grade point average of at least a 3.4 to be considered for admission. . . link to application
- Junior Admissions
Students with a grade point average of at least a 3.4 (3.2 for students following the 2007-2008 Undergraduate Catalog or earlier) who wish to do Honors work in their junior/senior years may apply for admission in the second semester of – or immediately following – the sophomore year. In addition to completing the application for admission, students applying for admission for junior/senior-level study must obtain departmental consent from the major department's Honors advisor. In granting departmental consent, an Honors advisor is making a favorable judgment as to the student's qualifications for Honors work in the major. . . link to application
